What is a GOLD FORTIFIED home?

GOLD FORTIFIED is the highest residential designation from the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS). It means the roof is secured to the walls, walls are anchored to the foundation, and windows, doors, and other vulnerable areas are reinforced for maximum wind and storm protection. Every Blueprint Community Home is built to this standard, verified through independent third-party inspections during construction. In Alabama, GOLD FORTIFIED homes qualify for insurance discounts of 45–55% on wind premiums.

How long does it take to build?

Blueprint Community Homes targets 60 days from dirt to keys on most builds. Actual timelines can range from 60 to 120 days depending on plan complexity, weather, and permitting. Every build is tracked in real time so buyers stay updated throughout construction.

How does your warranty work?

Unless otherwise agreed, all of our homes — whether built on your lot or ours — include a 10-year structural warranty administered by 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty, the industry leader covering over 6 million homes nationwide. Coverage includes workmanship (fit, finish, and materials like cabinets, flooring, paint, and trim), distribution systems (electrical wiring, plumbing, and HVAC ductwork), and structural elements (foundation, load-bearing walls, roof framing, beams, and columns). Many products used in construction such as roof shingles, appliances, and HVAC equipment also carry their own manufacturer warranties that transfer to you. What financing options are available?

Blueprint Community Homes arranges financing through our network of preferred lenders offering FHA, VA, USDA, and conventional loans. We help you through the entire process — from finding the right loan program and applying for down payment assistance to coordinating with your lender through closing.
